Shopify App
Add social proof to your Shopify storefront with our theme app extension. No code required — paste one embed code into a Custom Liquid section and your testimonial widget is live in under two minutes.
Copy your embed code
In your Credibly dashboard, open the widget you want to display and copy the Script embed code from the embed options panel. The script tag includes your unique widget ID and loads the widget asynchronously so it never delays your storefront's initial paint.
Add a Custom Liquid section
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize. Click "Add section" and choose "Custom Liquid" from the section picker. Custom Liquid sections work in every Shopify theme that supports Online Store 2.0 and in many older themes as well.
Paste and save
Paste the embed code into the Custom Liquid section's code field, position the section where you want it on the page using the theme editor drag handles, and click Save. Your testimonial widget will appear immediately on your live storefront. A native Shopify app is coming soon for one-click installation directly from the Shopify App Store.

Troubleshooting
Here are the three most common issues Shopify merchants encounter and how to resolve them quickly.
The Custom Liquid section option is not available in the theme editor
Custom Liquid sections require Shopify Online Store 2.0. If your theme predates 2.0, go to Online Store > Themes > Edit Code and add the embed script to the appropriate section template file directly, or consider upgrading to a 2.0 theme like Dawn.
Widget does not appear on the live store even after saving
Verify that the section is visible (not hidden) in the theme editor by checking that the eye icon next to the section is active. Also confirm there are no Shopify script tag restrictions from other apps. If your store uses a third-party cookie consent tool, ensure it is not blocking the Credibly script domain.
Widget appears on desktop but not on mobile
Some Shopify themes have separate mobile visibility toggles per section. In the theme editor, click the section containing your Custom Liquid embed and check the "Visible on mobile" or "Show on mobile" toggle in the section settings panel.
